Rest in peace, Apple, in the arms of angels, enjoying celestial music.
My heartfelt condolences to Apple's family and loved ones.

Very sad to hear of her passing her kind words on these forums will be remembered by many for a long time. May she rest in peace.

I am terribly sadden by this news, but find a smidgen of comfort from the knowledge, that her time in the hospice was short.
One of Apple's post that moved me the most, was the one below. It took me awhile to find Apple's post, but I remember it well.

Hay Alex,
I just want you to know how important this link has been to me lately. this is the only song i know 'by heart' so it's the only thing i play for people when i'm away from my music. I have NEVER had such a positive reaction to a piece of music. Everyone loves it. So thanks for sharing it a while back.
I'm very sad to inform anyone and everyone who of knew my mother or knew of her, that she passed away this morning. We will never get to hear play the piano beautifully here anymore but we will when we are up there with her. Thank you for being there for her and helping her with anything there is to help with. She were so accepting of everyone, no matter the difference of them from her. You all are amazing. She loved you all as I know that you all loved her. She will see us all soon. -apple's family

I'm heartbroken to hear of Apple's passing - what a dear, sweet person! I will always treasure the wonderful evening I spent with her and her beautiful family, the fabulous meal they cooked, her vibrant paintings, and the enchanting time we spent around her gorgeous piano, sharing our common love of music. Here is a picture she generously shared with me a few months ago, taken in front of her piano:
Apple was an amazing contributor on PW. Always positive. Always friendly. We are measured by the lives we've touched and after 16000+ posts she definitely touched many. I will miss her greatly.
Not even knowing she painted, I often thought that her comments were like bright primary color accents against a sometimes monochromatic background of opinions... she was painting from a palette all her own.
deepest condolences to apple's family, especially her three dear children who she shared with us over the years. we love you and hold you in our hearts.
Very sad. Apple will be missed greatly. Thanks so much to Apple's family for taking a moment for the beautiful but sad post.

Rest in peace Mary! As I said I never had a chance to meet you, but I sure wish I had! Mary's departure to a new and happier place hopefully was in my mind all day long, since I read this thread and read the final post of the member 'apple*' (her daughter I assume?).
We didn't have that many personal exchanges, and I don't feel that I deserve to say that "I knew her", but for some reason, which is obviously because of her kind nature, I feel really sad for this loss and upset at this!
