Another piece I just recorded, it’s the first movement of Beethoven Piano Sonata Op. 2 no. 1. Sorry for the limited dynamic range of the recording. I do know the difference between piano and forte smile it just didn’t show in the recording. Let me know any comments you may have, many thanks.
Cheers,
O

Hello, there. A nice performance. I liked your crisp playing. I might suggest a little more variance, letting a little more emotion bleed through. It sounds a little mechanical. Also, I believe when I played this piece, I played the turns in the opening measures (and subsequent repetitions) on the beat, instead of a half-beat late. Give it a shot.. might help it from sounding too separated in places.

Really liked the section at 2:18 (yes, I'm typing as I listen). Nicely done.

Hi Derulux,
Thanks very much for your comments and suggestions.
Having listened to it again, it did sound a bit robotic like you said. I think I should probably add some pedal in a few places and let the piece breathe more freely.
Cheers,
O

No problem at all. I think if you do exactly what you've prescribed, you'll have a bang-up piece to perform. smile
