It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Another piece I just recorded, it’s the first movement of Beethoven Piano Sonata Op. 2 no. 1. Sorry for the limited dynamic range of the recording. I do know the difference between piano and forte it just didn’t show in the recording. Let me know any comments you may have, many thanks. Cheers, O
Hello, there. A nice performance. I liked your crisp playing. I might suggest a little more variance, letting a little more emotion bleed through. It sounds a little mechanical. Also, I believe when I played this piece, I played the turns in the opening measures (and subsequent repetitions) on the beat, instead of a half-beat late. Give it a shot.. might help it from sounding too separated in places.
Really liked the section at 2:18 (yes, I'm typing as I listen). Nicely done.
Every day we are afforded a new chance. The problem with life is not that you run out of chances. In the end, what you run out of are days.

Hi Derulux, Thanks very much for your comments and suggestions. Having listened to it again, it did sound a bit robotic like you said. I think I should probably add some pedal in a few places and let the piece breathe more freely. Cheers, O
