Curious, Dave Mack paid $680 with a 15% off coupon. The going price seems to be $799 making it $680 after %15 off. How did you get $648.64 out the door? "Out the door" would include sales tax.

The first price I got was with tax.. I called back and said that since they had a coupon for no tax, I should get the piano without tax.i think the person that entered my order put it at a low price originally and taxed it so it would come out to the 719( i also ordered something else)So when I called in about the no tax, I got a low price..

Hope that makes sense.

In essence it makes sense. On the other hand figuring out how they came up with that final figure requires specific numbers.

EDIT: I was thinking about this today. Because you have posted a price paid in this specific thread I would like to understand how you walked away paying only $648.64. Was it due to a salesperson's error in calculation? I get the part about going backwards to come up with a figure that produced something comparable to what you should have paid if they honored a coupon and tax off sale in the first place (you got 2 different sale discounts applied at once correct?). 15% off (coupon) of the going price and a no sales tax discount would have left $679. Where did the $648.64 come from? If the area of Los Angeles where you purchased this has a 9.25% sales tax rate that means they should have punched up something like $622.00 to produce $679. A key point is that you said "out the door" so that would be the total you paid (pseudo tax, no tax, 15% off, etc.) period not the trumped up figure that lead to a number reflecting expired sales discounts.

Did anyone that purchased the casio px 350 from musicians friend ( or any place for that matter) buy extended warranty coverage? MF is offering me a 3 year warranty that covers everything except theft for $99.. Im wondering if I should take it.. Any thoughts?

Gatsbee13, may I recommend that you create a new topic for this query.
The intention of this thread is really to post prices, rather than ask questions.

Cheers,
James

Current deal on @ Costco.ca on the PX135 package, was looking at the PX735, but the addition of an integrated keyboard cover didn't really justify the extra cost.

I think I was lucky with the price when purchasing in last week of July: I lately heard that the wholesale prices in Spain became rised up from August and the dealers have to forward this to their customers now;

Did you get it on amazon.com ?
I can't find any piano on amazon.ca.
But if you bought it from America, shouldn't you pay the extra tax for it?

I forgot to post my info before.

To anyone else who bought a new Kawai CN43, the publicity/advertising says is comes with Alfred's Piano Course for Adults or something. According to Amazon, this is a book with CD, yet I received no such thing, and the vendor says there was nothing else in the box. Should there have been? Thanks.

fractalCarrot, in the UK, US and Australia, the CN43 includes built-in 'Alfred' lesson songs, however not the printed scores or audio CDs.

Kind regards,
James

HI Kawai James, thanks very much for clearing that up. I had noticed there were built in lessons of some kind, though I didn't realise they were Alfred's.
Thanks!

Hi,

I want to buy a Kawai CA65. I live in Los Angeles County. Can someone tell me what's the best bargained price for one of these? Also, where can I find a very good dealer? Thank you in advance.

kenboi, please use the dealer locator on the Kawai America website, or give them a call to ask for information about dealers in your area.

Kind regards,
James

James,

Thank you for your response. I have found 3 dealers closest to my home. One of the dealers are in the process of innovating their store so the door was locked. The other 2 dealers, one of which I have visited today quoted me $3k out the door + delivery. She said she can lower the price for me if I am serious about buying and pay in cash. I am going to find out from other dealer later and see how much they offer.

DELIVERY CHARGE: Included in selling price (190 EUR - moving to 3rd floor without elevator)

I could have pushed the price by another 200 EUR lower if I was not stupid and remembered their initial price offer...

Also, they do sell with luxembourgish VAT which is 15 % as opposed to 20 % in Germany or elswhere in the EU (provided the delivery is made to Luxembourg).

Had to wait for a looooong time for delivery though (I was told NU1 sells quite well and is out of stock...)
