Just got my 350, although UPS delivered it to my next door neighbor. Was just wondering if anyone bought the extended warranty with their casio px piano. I bought mine from musicians friend and their offering 3 year that covers everything except theft for $99. I have 30 days to decide to purchase it. Im kind of veering toward it as my first casio (px575r) failed but was covered by mfctr warranty. ill post a review after getting acquainted with the board. Thanks

-David

Edit: my whole new piano setup (casio px-350 with stand&pedals and krk rp6 g2) thank god for black Friday and online sales.

Does the extended warranty extend to your next door neighbor?

Mike,

I just registered but it didn't say anything about getting an additional 2 years in the confirmation email. although I did see that select products are eligible for extended warranty for registering under the "why register" section.

Edit: nevermind.. the Privia homepage has the info.. Register within 30 days and get 2 year extended warranty.. very nice!

They give it to your neighbor if they still have possession of your DP.

Just curious, saw in another post that you did not care for the PX-575 you had. What problems did you have with it? I have one and outside of the noisy keybed, it has been solid. In some ways it can do much more than the PX-350 when it comes to editing sound and applying effects and DSP. These features were taken off the PX-330 and 350, although in all fairness, I think the object was to make a good portable piano which they are. Recently played a 350 but did not get to spend much time on it. First impressions are positive. I like the action a lot.

I agree with everything you said about the 575r.. but to me, it seemed like a toy.. when I played the px350, action wise, it was very different from the 575. one of the reasons I went with Casio again is because i heard about the R&D,management, etc change up for the digital piano line..and of course, what i experienced when i demoed it.

Ultimately, it comes down to the action.

i bought the 575 so i could play silently at night in my bedroom and bought something cheap. i actually had it for quite some time before i sold it. i didn't have any problems with the 575, but it had nothing to compete with the other companies at the time. now im feeling a lot better about the engineering that goes into casio digitals.

That looks pretty great. I recall a picture thread back when I was new in the forum, but not one since then. I guess it takes one brave soul to start it.

The sound itself is being produced by your computer. Therefore, if you wish this sound to be output through your speakers, you will need to connect them to your computer.

Cheers,
James

James.. I currently have a double trs to single RCA cable, which doesn't seem like it would be balanced if I connected to the headphone jack on my CPU. What type of wiring or hardware would you recommend to get audio from comp to monitors with balanced connection? I have a laptop with 1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports.
