It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Could someone PLEASE help me identify what this song is.. i learned the beginning part of it a long time ago from a friend. Unfortunately, he does not know what it is called or who it is composed by. ANY suggestions might help.
I don't hear any words. Are you sure this is a song? :P
Of course it is a song! It is a song my dear old grandmother used to hum to me at bedtime -- or perhaps it could have been my mother, yodeling while disciplining me -- or maybe it was my ex-wife, swooning. Wait! The mailman used to whistle this song when he was making his rounds.
Anyway, Morodiene, the "song part" starts after that melodious and intriguing introduction . . . . .

In music, everything one does correctly helps everything else.

AFAIK, if you remove the words from a song, what is left is a tune or a melody.
