I need fingering tips for right hand for these measures. The song is called Plain Asia, I can send sheet to one who wants them. Tempo is 140. Thanks to anyone who's willing to help :P

This is a nice little passage, with many many possible fingerings. (Edit: tempo was indicated. Deleted redundant question.) What note leads into it? What is the next note after the end? One fingering you can try: 13 234 131341 4152 432 12 | 1 234 1 2154 1354 3213 | 1235 1235 4124 3453 I thought about some thumb tricks at the end to eliminate the leaps, but I think the repositioning works best. If you want to try a thumb trick, that last measure could include: 4 | 2312 3415 1241 3453 3 | 1235 1235 4121 3453 Or any combination thereof. I like the top fingering so far.. but some of the substitutions make sense, depending on what you're more comfortable doing. I find moving in/out on certain leaps a little easier, but if you find those movements more difficult, maybe a thumb replacement will benefit you. I hope it helps.

There is some questions about it tough. The 3rd beat of measure 40; going from c to a flat with 54 seems to be a big distance? at least when i first just tried it. Is it just something i have to train? Tbh, 3rd and 4rd beats of measure 40 have been a big problem for me. I did try to play them by going 1342 1213 but when trying to go as fast or even close to as fast the song is supposed to play, i just cant keep it up like that.

And what comes to leaps that you're talking about, they are not a problem since I've go into songs that have fast passages with leaps. (or at least that's how i've played them) Therefore, I've trained them

The 54 is a pretty standard fingering, actually. Try playing this chord: C-Eb-Ab-C. It's a 1st inversion Ab chord. The fingering is 1245. If you can play it, you can reach the 54 fingering I used in the arpeggio. (If you cannot, you might have very small hands.. which is not a judgment, but just something we have to work around, so let me know.) My guess would be that your wrist is too low when you try to play the 54. Try raising your wrist up higher. Also, as you play the 54321, your hand, wrist, and arm should all move together (so your wrist doesn't twist or break) to the left. Your wrist should start low on the 5, be highest on the '3' in the 54321, and drop back down to the 1 in a smooth arc. Let me know if that visual helped, or you are still struggling with it. It's tough to diagnose online, but I have a suspicion what might be the problem.

It's tough to diagnose online, but I have a suspicion what might be the problem. I did try this suggestion more, and it starts to feel more better now, especially when I focused on moving my wrist while doing it. My hands arent that small, I tried doing the chord and I find no trouble doing it either with 1235 or 1245. I still consider myself a beginner and I tend to rush in the hardest songs (for my level) that I might be able to play with lots of practise However, when you got time it would be nice If you could tell me if there's something to improve in how I play some earlier measures, or just tell me how you would play it. Like i said, I'm a beginner and don't always find the best solution for everything. Here's some measures that I'm quite unsure of, they might be played like this? but I have a feeling theres better ways; 27-28: 1323 12 345 2534 23 232 | 1531 2351 3414 3132 29: 1434 12 345 2534 2312 31-32: 1 323 1 234123 5241 3132 | 1451 3154 2131 4212

27-28: 1323 12 3451523 14 121 | 2531 2351 3414 3132 Alt: 1434 13 131 1 3415 4143
29: 1323 12 3451523 1514 2313 | 2312 3532 Alt: 1523 1423 | 1241 2421 Alt2: 1523 1313 | 2312 3532 Alt3: 1515 2314 | 2312 3532
Or any combination thereof. I tend to like the first version.
31-32: 1 431 2 345123 5241 3121 | 2451 3154 1231 4212 Alt: 1 321 2 5321 | 1341 2154
I tend to like the top one, but again, there are choices and combinations.
This is a neat piece. Since we took such a look at it, I decided to run through it a few times hands together. Has it been used in anything I might recognize?
