I hope this is not an inappropriate question--please feel free to move the topic or point me somewhere else.

I started learning piano this fall after getting some good advice on this forum about choosing a digital piano (I got the Arius 161). One thing I thought would be fun would be to host a Christmas party and gather around said piano to sing carols. I mentioned this to a few friends, who were passionately enthusiastic, however, sanity has since set in, and it seems kind of unlikely that I, as an absolute beginner, will be able to learn the accompaniments to a dozen carols in, oh, the next two weeks. crazy

But hey, I have a digital piano, so maybe I can upload MIDI files of the carols and just have the piano play them for us! Using Google, though, I haven't found a good source--mostly I've found files that play the melody for one verse, and I'd be looking for files of the accompaniment for 2-3 verses. Is there some excellent mother lode of MIDI files? I'm not averse to paying if I can find what I want.

And of course, for next year, I'll try to learn them myself. smile

At this website is both midi files and sheet music for various levels. (click on the links for first pieces, level 1 etc.)

I'm not sure how good the midi files are but there are some easy to play Christmas songs that you could learn. smile

Has a ton of tunes. It is a bit strange to use at first, but can help with MIDIs, PDFs of sheet music, ABC notation. The catch is that virtually all the arrangements are done by hobbyists. Some are in different keys, some are melody only, some are for quartets, only a few are arranged the way a pianist might favor. Still, it is free, and with some poking about, trial and error, a person could get a bunch of popular holiday tunes in a hour or two.
