We crammed 18 people into our living room to hear pianist Frank Lévy play some Scarlatti, followed by all the Schubert improptus.

My friends were rapt, including one very well-behaved 5 year old!

It was nice hearing this up-close instead of in a concert hall.



(At around 45 seconds you can see the configuration of the room. This is in a small ~1600 sq/ft house, and we fit everyone in. The piano is 225cm long--a little big for the space.)

Recorded with a pair of cardiod condensers at the "tail". Not the optimal position, but I didn't want people banging into Mic stands.

Oh, of course, didn't notice the name on the side, was looking on the fallboard.

I have heard Levy play at the Mannes IKIF several times since has as been teaching in that program for some time. I think he's terrific.
