Hi all.

I recenctly came across this beautiful schubert sonata:
http://youtu.be/muKLdeFH96E

Although the above version is a little too fast in my opinion, it's the only version on youtube where it finishes off nicely. Who is the pianist playing this? And does anyone know where I can find the complete sheet music of this sonata? Everywhere I look I can only find the incomplete sheet music. Your help will be much appreciated! smile

I'll assume you mean for free...I mean, if you can find Roslavets in a music shop then this sonata should be a trifle...um, sorry, I don't know of anywhere giving the whole thing away; it's ever possible nobody is willing to do so. Good luck though.

I can't find it for free online, but Henle has a publication which includes this sonata:
http://www.henle.com/en/detail/index.html?Title=Piano+Sonatas%2C+Volume+III+%28Early+and+Unfinished+Sonatas%29_150

As does Edition Peters:
http://www.edition-peters.com/produ...ume-1-soft-bound/9781854721358?TRE00000/

Looking at these, it seems as though the different movements are from different catalogue numbers (IE not D571). It might be easier just to buy a book. wink

Are the 4 pages I've just grabbed from IMSLP only half the
Schubert story of D571? I've just been playing the first 16 measures.

It appears this sonata is in three movements all with different catalogue numbers (D571, D604 and D570).

Perhaps the F# minor movement (D571) was never completed by Schubert giving it is reference as an unfinished sonata so finding a finished version of this movement would likely have come from someone other than Schubet. Henle makes an edition of "Early and Unfinished Sonatas of Schubert" of which this sonata is included.

Schubert never completed the work, and some pianists (like Richter), when performing it, just stop where Schubert stops. Others tack on stuff from somewhere else, or do their own 'completion'.

Sheet music for the completion of this movement:

Not 100% accurate, since I just wrote this out by ear.
