Hi teachers,

I am thinking of doing some fun duets with my friend. As christmas is nearing, i'm thinking of doing some christmas music too. What would you recommend? Perhaps around grade 5- 6 level for us so that we don't need to tackle too much details wink

For the first piece I am thinking of doing this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdQSqHueW9Q

And, where do you normally find piano duet repertoires online?
I normally go to imslp.org

Appreciate all your inputs!

This is grade 5-6?!?! I would imagine that it's rather more difficult, but whatever really...

If you can hold on another couple of weeks, I have a set of seven (7) short works for 4 hands coming out. Recording and videotaping will take place on the 28th of November and by then the score should be printed and ready for shipping...

Nikolas: haha.. sorry if i can't estimate very well. but i have seen the score of this,it sounds difficult but the score is actually easier than you think it is! at any one time there is only one hand and one note playing (for first player), so its still manageable. second player is totally no kick though wink

Theme&Variations: I am refering to Grade 5-6 ABRSM system smile

Just added this one to the latest ABF recital:

https://recitals.pianoworld.com/reci...s%20Daughter%20-%20Rondo%20Op163%206.mp3

Diabelli: Rondo Op163 #6

Its probably a bit easier than Grade5/6 - but its great fun to play

Robert Vandall's Duet Fantasy on Jingle Bells is rather fun. Mary Sallee also has an easy arrangement of Carol of the Bells that I like.

I concurr on Vandall's duets. My teacher and I are working on a Vandall We Three Kings duet. He writes interesting duets that sound great.

These are really fun, if a bit on the easy side.

Naoko Ikeda is a very nice composer.
