Finally did it. Purchased a Shigeru Kawai SK3. It was between the SK3 and a Schimmel k189. The tone of the SK3 is richer, does not play as loud as the Schimmel, but for my living room the SK will be loud enough. The action felt a little heavier on the Shigeru, manageable though. It will be an exciting experience getting to know this new piano. Delivery scheduled for next week.

You were in a good position - couldn't go wrong with either one. Enjoy it!

When piano gets to its new home (here), I will post some photos. I just have to
figure out the process. Lets see if this works.

Congrats!
I've had a Shigeru for almost 4 years now and it sounds even better than it did the day I got it.
I wish you many happy years of playing.

I have not had the pleasure of seeing, or playing, one, but on YouTube they seem like wonderful pianos. Congratulations!

Congratulations! I'll be in touch with you some time next year about having the Japanese technician come service the piano.

Enjoy!

Thanks KawaiDon:

I look forward to having the "Master" tech come by and do his thing.
Hope he comes out before middle of summer. I am in the Phoenix area and
as you know it gets dang hot here!

Lou///
