So I picked up a used player piano with no player parts, and it only cost me $50 in gas. I love craigslist. I can't figure out who made it, though. The iron frame has writing on it: Est. 1857; Capo D'Astro Bar Style. There's a serial number on the back (22853). It's a piano in a plain box, and I don't expect that it is worth much, but part of the joy for me is finding out what I've got (I have a 1964 Klira electric bass, rare). How do I find out more about this piano?

You probably cannot find anything more unless there is a maker's name on it. If the piano was painted over the original finish, you might be able to scrape down to the name if you are careful.
