It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Yes! I am ready to move anywhere where the temps are in the 70's and 80's! It's horrible up here right now! 7 degree's this morning! By the end of the week, they are predicting possibly - 40 with the wind chill factor.
I think I'm going to become a snow man. I'll throw snow balls at cars as they pass and then freeze back into position again with that smerky grin as they stop and try to figure out WHO DID THAT?! of course, they may be ice balls by the time they reach the cars but, OH WELL! Entertainment is entertainment right?

Where do you live anyway? And, DON'T tell me Florida or I may have to block all further contact from you and BOB too!
I plan on visiting Fla next year for a couple of weeks. We used to go every year for 3 weeks but, then as the kids got older, school became a bigger priority. This year, my youngest graduates high school. YES! FREEEEEEDOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!

I'm not sure which is is best. Being stuck to a piano bench frozen to it with frost bite?
Or, being stuck to a bench in 90 degree weather. hmmmm, some toss up.... 90 wins! Then I could this to the Michiganders up there when I go down to Florida next winter for a couple of weeks!

It was a record 72 degrees here in San Francisco yesterday.
You are all welcome to move out here where it never snows. But if you live in San Francisco proper you have to get used to being rather damp/chilly year-round (except for those odd warm days when you least expect them).
Oh no Horowitzian! Frank is in Florida too! BUM's all of you! Bum's I tell ya! Florida beach bums. Ohhh how I miss going down there... I'm soooooooo jealous!

It's cold, but I enjoy the weather here in Michigan. Never a dull moment.
I like the change of the seasons. I just wish the city of Lansing would step on it and get us that money they said they would to replace our 100 year old windows! My heating bill is going to be outrageous this month!

Beach Bums? How can you say that?
This is from a few days ago, out for a bike ride with my sister (yes, I know, I need to ride a lot more often :-)

You remind me of my dad. He would go to Florida in December every year and call me in January just to say, HI JER! WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE UP THERE?! Laughing the whole time as he told me he was in shorts and it was 80 degree's. I don't think he ever missed a year in doing that. He got just as much glory out of doing it the next year as he did 10 years before! Sheesh! Some people!

I'm going to quit gloating. After all, we get hurricanes, plenty of summer rain and heat, so it all evens out. If I continue to gloat, I'll be boarding up my house this summer for sure. I'm sorry this winter is awful for many of you.

I had forgotten about that!
Say, Frank, why'd you have to tease us with the muscle shirt and shorts? :p
Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and nuclear weapons.
My son just went back to Lansing after being in New Jersey-home, for a month. It's not warm here, but nothing like the great cold state of Michigan. He had to clear a month's worth of snow and ice off his car! I'm just glad he could find it!

I just saw that the high in Lansing tomorrow and Friday will be 6 degrees, and then reach a balmy 20 over the weekend. I don't want to think about what your heating bills are going to be.

Weather Report for Northeast Iowa, Thursday Morning
Temperature -25 degrees Wind chill -45 degrees PIANOS -30 to -50 cents flat
This morning 7 inches of new snow, more due Friday.
I have tuned 10 pianos since last Friday, All were -25 cents flat in the treble octave to -65 flat in the 7th octaves. Most had been tuned last November. I will see a Steinway grand tomorrow morning, I can hardly wait. Next week it is going to be a positive 35 degrees, maybe.
