Hi,

I am trying to figure out the model of my Kimball baby grand. All I can find is the serial. The serial is 860487. I believe the year is from 1973. Appreciate any help.

You are correct about the age of the piano.

How long is the piano - from front to back??? (It is difficult to tell from the photo).

In addition to the length, take a photo of the inside, showing the strings and the iron frame. Take the music desk off first.

Lasvegasestatesale, if you want to know the exact model designation for an estate sale (wild guess!) I don't think that is needed. The year and instrument length will tell potential buyers what they need to know in the case of such a piano. Even if you could tell them it's a model XJ-7 or a Nimbus-73, that is meaningless to anyone and will not contribute to saleability or price..
