Hiya Wayne, Recaredo, and Rupak - I'd just like to add my comments to yours.
Thanks for being such fun and so supportive when we were preparing the metamorphosis pieces. It has been a pleasure!

Dipsy (Helen)

BTW - Rossy will be thanked in 'real time'!

Recaredo, Wayne, Dipsy, Rossy, and Rupak (sounds like a lawfirm, doesn't it?) smile

What a great effort you all have given. It really shows in the results. Although this isn't my favorite kind of music, I listened to all the performances and thought each one had unique elements that made it all your own. Even more impressive was that you were able to get this done as a group project. All I can say is , Bravo!! thumb

Looking forward to your next performance.

Jim

Excellent , it sure does sound like a lawfirm, in Preston lancs, and I jest not, there was a lawfirm called "hindle ,hindle and tool.

Old man hindle died and that just left "hindle and tool" they went downhill so very badly they got the nickname "swindle and fool"

legal advice from the RST "lawfirm" is now available folks, payment in Pounds sterling, dollars or Gold (no euros)

this is how I propose it works:

Pm me your problem, I will explain it to wayne and ask his opinion after he has had a smoke and a beer or six, he will then mistranslate your problem to Recaredo who will similarly Pm Rupak the wrong end of the stick, Rupak will then give the advice to Dipsey who will promptly, and I say Promptly forget it for ages untill some totally unconnected thing reminds her and she will then tell me and I will then give you the disjointed mistranslated and extremely unethical legal advice for a unreasonable fee.

wayne, you say Rostosky is "probabily" busy.

I heard that "probabily" is a contraction of "proper" and "hillbilly" are you calling me a proper hillbilly just because I live in wales? lol.

This, for me, is one of the finest covers of any song by any artist.

Thanks so much Becca, Sam and Jim for your feedback on our performances!

We have posted very little about Bruckner’s music. I think the last time was Griffin posting the symphony No 0, with an excellent version by Solti.

Once I heard this anecdote about the release of Bruckner’s Te Deum in London. When the performance finished, the public that attended the concert kept silent. The musicians started leaving the stage, as they didn’t see any response to their interpretation. Thus, Bruckner thought that his work had failed hugely.

But suddenly, a thunderous ovation broke that silence. Simply, the whole audience was moved after listening to this enormous choral work.

I hope you also enjoy it.

Evening all, wink

Recaredo, have you picked one of the Gnoissienne's yet?

Griffin, you gonna join in this time? smile

Can anyone recap, who's doing what, and is there 9 in all?

Hi Wayne!

I could pick Gnossienne No. 4 ( I don’t know if someone has chosen it before), but I’m not sure if I will able to learn it in one month. I think the deadline is early November?

Argggh, Ughhh, Ahhhhh... I will be pleased as punch if I can learn to play this with even the most remote idea of a song! LMAO

Wow this is tough. I've managed to sorta figure out where and when my fingers go on page 1 (3 more pages to go!) I'm going by finger go here because they can reach that.

Whose good at checking to see if your fingering makes sense? I'm gonna need whopper amounts of help with this!

How is everyone doing? Anyone else start yet?

Wayne, I just downloaded Gymnopedie No. 1 to review. I'll also take a look at Gymnopedie No. 3. I usually don't like to try to learn a piece in such a short timeframe. I'll try it out tomorrow and let you know.
