Can a VST give me the same as a P155? #1952526 09/01/12 10:37 AM

Today I went to a Yamaha shop and I realized the difference in the piano sound of a P95 and a P155!

Although the action is not the same, if I get a P95 would I be able with a VST to reproduce a much better piano sound without latency?

Absolutely, you can get MUCH more better sounds than those of the P-155 with VST's like Ivory II, Galaxy Vintage D and the stuff from Native Instruments (Alicia's Keys).

I use my P-85 (rough economical times, so there's no way i can get another DP) with Galaxy Vintage D, and it sounds BEAUTIFUL!. just get a MIDI interface, the VST you want and some good headphones laugh.

Thanks for your comments. So in this case I´m going to go for the P95!
I had always on my mine that 2GBytes of a Grand Piano sound, string resonance and other filters would be impossible to play with a normal PC in real time without latency...
And which hardware would you recomend?

I use M-Audio Midisport Uno 1x1 MIDI interface, and a PC with Core2Duo 2.33GHZ and 3GB RAM laugh. I've been told to get a M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface, but i don't know if that would be a "must ".
