you could try this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovdzU0BiqZ4
Doesn't look like it always works, but apparently, sometimes. And you have to follow the steps precisely.

This one says essentially the same:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72LXv-J76iQ
But the guy is funnier!

try that. No need to re-upload. You should still have your own vid, you just need to dispute the stupid claim. It looks like you have to use the exact wording as copied in the description.

by the way, I'm playing a trio piano + guitar + tenor tonight.
I'm all set to play basslines all evening.

So if we suck, I'll blame it all on the bassline masterclass!!

Needless to say, if it works out good, it will only be the fruit of my hardwork ;-)

Have fun with the trombone!

Knotty - have a ball tonight! smile

Actually I have a question for knotty as he is always right. smile This is about minor ii V i's. For the majors, I would practice arps up and down. 1-3-5-7. Interspersed with scales - it all helped. Now I'd like to do the same for the minors. My problem is I'm not sure what constitutes an arpeggio over the V chord. Should I do b9 3 b6 7? What was so great for the majors was it helped me pin down what was a chord tone so now I can hit a chord tone anytime I want. Now I'm in indecision about what is a chord tone.

for the V7 in the minor progs, use either 135 b7 or 35 b7 b9

Laura, can you confirm from your location that the Lennie video is now once again available? On my channel it say it's in dispute and still blocked worldwide..

thnx

Yeah Knots, I thought that since this would be my last progression, I would throw in
- a quartal for the G maj 7 (which I got wrong as you pointed out)
- a sus for the dominant
- a min 4th.

Thanks for your feedback. Do you like this any better ?

Hey Knots
What a unique trio combination. How did your gig go ? You're so confident to be the rhythm section with your walking bass line.

That's brilliant 10 ! Dave does it so fast at 0:47 it really is like torrential rain.
When I do it, I'm light drizzle speed.
I didn't do it in my last Bb maj improv - there was so much brain soreness going on that I didn't want to complicate things further.

It was fun. The guitar and I split the bass lines. I really don't know how well I played. I don't have a recording, but I'd be curious to hear.

That was a good idea to split the responsibility with the guitar, still must have been tiring though !

Thanks for re-checking my G maj progression.

Glad it went well knotty. I know what you mean, when you play you can't really hear the overall effect. For the guitar, I'm sure amplification is an issue.

Question for the day: how keep minor scales up? I've noticed my RH fingers don't fall easily into the minors like they do the majors. I'm sure this has to do with the hanons. I do theoretically know all the minor scales - just i'm not as happy to chop and change direction, or just leap and find a scale tone. I'm keen to know what others do.

Does anyone do minor hanons? They're awkward as anything.

Hi 10
Interesting.....I don't have the problem with minor scales although my improv speed is currently only 80 bpm.
The major Hanons seem to be an adequate foundation.

so, for C minor do you think Eb maj?

I'm not trying to improvise fast, I just find the minors take a lot more brain work.

Running through the scale doesn't seem to have the impact I'm looking for.
