In season 20 episode 12 where Homer throws a huge Mardi-Gras in his garden, there is a bit where he says "look, even grandpa is enjoying himself" and at that point a New-Orleans style `funeral with music` comes around the corner carrying him in a coffin.
They are playing a jaunty Dixie tune and I`d really like to know what it is.

On IMDB it is credited as `Oh Tannenbaum` but it doesn`t sound like it to me.

Any Simpsons/jazz fans out there who can tell me what it is?

At the very beginning when Homer is hanging his decorations, he's singing "Oh Mardi Gras, Oh Mardi Gras" : that's where O Tannenbaum is.

IMDB lists the other tune as The Caisson Song

However I just listened casually to the Simpson's tune and The Caisson Song and I think there are some differences...

The impression that I got was that the piece at the end is a longer reprise of the Grandpa-in-coffin piece. It kinda sounds roughly similar to the Caisson Song but, yeah: **roughly** .

The very last notes of that clip, sound a little like, 'Turkey in the Straw'

Nah...but it got me searching for a nice full arrangement of `Doooo your ears hang low do they waggle to and fro, etc...` so it cheered me up just as well :o)
