I do...it's way too small...:(

But my small paws look elegant and dainty, so when I'm tackling sheep or a chicken (agricultural high school), people are slightly shocked...:P

No, because I have big paws...

But... but... complain where? Who is responsible for your small hand span, so you can go over and complain? wink

D: My parents are tiny, and so am I...so naturally I would have small little paws. But my hands are even smaller than my parents!

you could take comfort in the fact that I have almost huge hands (c - F# with little trouble), which provides other issues. I can't, for the shake of me, play the 4th etude of Chopin, or anything that requires fast ultra agile fingers and precision. Give me any chords, octaves and the rest and I'm fine.

Just like with the size of any other body part, there's nothing you can do about it. So instead of worrying about it you may as well just learn to cope and get on with your life.

Can you play that bit at the start where it has the C# octave then the D# with 2? I can't reach it for the life of me!

That's a rather large reach! Although, doesn't sound like your hands are so big those pieces should be a problem? I can reach C-E with little trouble, and I don't feel like op.10 no.4 is too "crammed" for the fingers (if I actually go back to practice it).

I wish I had a teensy bit more reach so that my pinkies aren't extended as much, it takes away from the amount of sound they are able to produce.

Not any more. I have small hands for a man (golf glove cadet small), but having played for 50 years, I guess I have adjusted or aquired sufficient flexibility to cover most literature. About the only thing I complain about is LH 10ths that seem to show up more in jazz, that I don't really play much.

I don't think I've ever complained about my hands... But I do like to bust out the ole hand-comparison when people tell me they'd love to play music but for their little hands, and only once has someone had smaller hands than me.

Debussyist, did you say your hands are small? That's too bad.. Debussy wrote a lot of big-chord music. frown
