Here is a pic of my wall. the piano movers hit my wall with the piano lid but amazingly I could not see any damage or scratches on my lid. only the wall took damage haha.

The wood must be really dense stuff it is HEAVY!

Congratulations, it's a beauty.
The movers must be very confident transporting such a high end instrument without the lid and fallboard and without wrapping it in blankets.

Beautiful piano, for sure, but who are those movers? It is unheard of to transport an instrument without wrapping and protecting it thoroughly. It has nothing to do with being confident in your moving skills. Anyone who's done it for any length of time knows that there are all sorts of hazards that can, and do, occur when moving a piano....especially of that size. Also, the straps look loose in the photos. Anyway, best of luck with an incredible piano. Glad it got there safely!!

During the crane operation I was filming it using my camera. I'll post a video once I upload it. it took 2 attempts haha.

Yeah, I was really surprised that they didnt wrap it up in blankets , etc... It didnt end up with any scratches, but some marks where the belts were attached to the piano. They will be polished off next week free of charge.

Chopinlover, the belts were only used for the crane so there is some slack to attach to the crane hook. After it got up the 2nd story, it was pushed up another set of stairs and finally in position.

Thanks for the photos. You and that piano will produce some nice music, no doubt.

Congratulations!

I'm a fan of the Shigeru-Kawai line, particularly the SK-7.

You have bought a really wonderful piano.

I still remember the experience of playing one on stage in Beijing. The action of that piano was extraordinarily responsive; even the pedals felt great. There was a wonderful shimmering quality to the high treble; the bass was very clear, and of course, the middle section sang.

That piano worked just fine in a hall that seated over 1000 people. I'm sure, in the more intimate setting of your home, that the sound will be spectacular in its clarity and detail.

Enjoy!
