Dear Everyone,

I need help with identifying a friend's friend's piano. This piano has been somewhat restored, so the original finish is unknown. More than that, whoever did the work did not bother to apply a decal to the soundboard, or the fallboard. The images below are the only clues I have aside from being told that the piano dates from the 20's and was manufactured in Cincinnati. Of course, I am open to the idea that this info is inaccurate. I currently have no access to the piano but would love to be able to know the maker. FYI, the serial number is 23296.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

THANKS!

These pictures do not render much information that would allow identification. What would be more helpful is pictures of technical specifics - the tuning pin fields perhaps, as well as pictures of the action.

For what it's worth - almost always, long-term makers of decent instruments had their name cast into the plate. If the plate has no name, the piano usually falls into the stencil piano or no-name mediocre category.
