Greetings, all!

I recently applied for and got accepted to the summer piano program at the Chautauqua Institution in New York, and was wondering if anyone on the forum has any experience at this amazing-looking place; it seems like it will be a summer to remember. Also, this is my very first summer festival I will be participating in, so I'm pretty excited. (Wayyyy overdue, I know)

A great time, and the setting is marvelous. That is one long trip for you (well, actually 2 long trips) but it will be well worth it!

I was a student there one summer more than 30 years ago! Then at least it was utopia. Symphony orchestra, ballet, opera, music school. There were practice huts, many with pianos, but the competition to get one was fierce.
