The ending credits to a movie I watched has the most beautiful, yet simple piano piece. I know I can play it if I had the score. The problem is that I can't determine what song it is. I checked each of the songs listed in the movie credits in iTunes, and none of them are the closing credit song.

The movie is Wonderland by Michael Winterbottom. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171865/

If anyone has this movie and can listen and identify the song it would be appreciated.

I am also willing to hire someone to transcribe it. Does anyone know where I might look for someone that has the ear and ability to transcribe a song? Are there professional services or experts that do that type of thing than anyone can recommend?

This is just such an amazing song, it would be a real pleasure to play. Its also a really good movie, by the way.

The song is Franklyn by Michael Nyman. I found the soundtrack with it on iTunes.

The sheet music does appear to be available in several locations. I'll look around and see if I can find the version he does for the movie.

Thanks for your help!

Glad you found it smile... yes I was taking a stab in the dark with you tube as I'd never seen the movie. Since learning piano I have spent more time on you tube than pretty much anywhere else online (apart from lurking here).

I have now discovered a whole new bunch of pieces to listen to from this thread, so thanks wink
