I've gotta say, it's incredibly disappointing to have no replies on this.

Well... Not sure if it's yourself or not, but it's unclear also on what you ask from us.

did you want us to listen to the youtube video? I did.
Did you want some comments on the work? This is unclear, but if you do, let us know.

Personally I found it quite nice and your passion (if it's you) is showing. I would argue that it's too static in a harmonic sense, but I think the style deserves that, so not much of a problem.

Finally, I wouldn't think that it's 'incredibly dissapointing' in any account. This IS a society of sorts. The members of PW society. We kinda know each other and when someone new comes, we do expect to also get to know them... It's the way the world works in some places (especially in places with older people). You came in had 4 posts and that was about it. Why not introduce yourself, tell us about yourself, tell us about your music, etc... That is IF you're Tom.

Welcome

I'm sorry if I came across as rude. I need to start of by saying that I'm NOT Tom. I'm only a fan. I do write music too though. He is a big inspiration on my writing (along with Yann Tiersen and Erik Satie). I've had a few other accounts on here (which I mostly asked about mechanics of piano) but they are several years old and I can't remember the usernames. I basically just wanted some comments on the work. It got me interested in writing again.

It's not that you were rude or anything...

But I just wanted to let you know of other ways you can interact with this forum (and other forums as well), in order to get the best from everywhere in here...

Why not share with us some of your work, so that you may comment more freely on how you did it, what you could've done better, etc? smile

PS. Do you, also have blue hair? ha (<-joke...)

Hi jh4227! And I am very intrigued - I like very much Tiersen and Satie too! I will listen Tom's improvisations at home today evening! Greetings from Prague!

Hello jh4227. So I listened the improvisation of your friend. On his place, I would (having such a good musical fingers) try to "study" music very seriously. In addition, he need to get the best equipment for recording (on the video I saw only parent's piano, in this case he also need a good microphone for recording with best quality possible! Or, he should try to record the improvisations by using MIDI keyboard with some good VSTi). On the other hand - your friend "Make the Music" (maybe now his music is not such brilliant as Tiersen's or Satie's music, but who knows - maybe after a while we will hear about Tom Milsom!) Keep up!!!
