Hi Recaredo! How nice to catch up with you. Thanks for letting me know about your interest in international folk music. Now I understand why you enjoy Andean music when we post it. I saw some references to various festivals when I was researching WOMAD. I may have a few things I'll send you PM this weekend.

Hey Recaredo, do you have any Flamenco to share sometime soon? Some of us out here are starving for a little Flamenco, and we know you are all hoarding it in Espana! Come on Dude! Be a good sport and share! LOL.

Griffin, this video shows one of the great flamenco singers of the past century. Manolo Caracol was a master for many flamenco singers, Camarón de la Isla included.

Today, it’s not easy to find pure flamenco, since currently it’s usual to make fusions with other musical styles.

Here we can listen to other major singer of the past century: Antonio Mairena. The image is not very good, but the sound is acceptable.

About current singers, I’ve found this video of Enrique Morente. Once I had the opportunity of speaking with him. He was very nice.

Poor Andrew Roachford! He looks so sad! He can sing and play piano so he shouldn't feel that bad.

I love the flamenco stuff. I wish I could play guitar. I went through a phase too, Becca. We bought Guitar Hero, and I decided that I needed to learn, so I had BillyO show me a couple of chords for Institionalized by Suicidal Tendencies (I figured punkish stuff was the way to go, since the bands hardly knew more than 3 chords). I think my phase lasted 30 minutes. Electric guitars are heavy and make your hands hurt!



I also think bass guitar would be ok. Or upright bass!

I like listening to Corinne play guitar too. We had a chance to see her play a year or two back. I wish we had.

Aimee, they thought I WAS lady G, showed 'em my manhood to prove I wasn't a lady, but that didn't seem to prove anything! In the end, exchanged a RST badge for my release, (don't worry Rossy, it was counterfeit)
