If you could vote for our national anthem, what would you choose?

I would choose the lyrical version of stars and stripes. I think the piece appropriately fits the country and the lyrics are sufficiently patriotic.

The current anthem is pretty good but the poem it's based off of is too long and the original tune was used for a drinking game. On top of that, it's too hard to sing which I think has something to do with why nowadays we don't sing it in groups, we just listen to someone else sing it.(not sure about that though) and finally normally when it is performed it ends off on a question.

it is national anthem i can;t choose easily but it iwas posted nearly 8 years ago right i think they won;t need my choice now.

Definitely Phil Ochs' The Power and the Glory, or failing that, America the Beautiful. Anything is better than what we got stuck with.

I see nothing wrong with our national anthem or our flag.
