The funniest part of this video is that, from what I have heard, Stephen Hawking is every bit as cheeky as he is presented here.

We should send a beacon out accross the internet to see if we can Contact Wayne or his abductors. Here, we should use this

It has been an honour for us to listen to Dr Hawking in this thread. I only hope that Wayne continues being the same when he arrives.

Brilliant video, Rossy!

Have a great day Griffin, I sincerly hope your practice goes well.

Well, todays post is a little different, mainly for me, because I dont know what is being sung??

Can anyone help? Anyone speak french? whatever it is, I just know it will be something beautifull, as it is a rare recording by Tim Blake.

Sometimes its fun not knowing what is being sung. One of my favorite bands did some Japanese covers and I love them.

I was trying to search for a translation but didn't find any! Surely someone speaks French..
Here's some Zeppelin.

It's so nice to hear from you Wayne! As you can see, Rossy brought in the best minds to explore your whereabouts. No expense was spared! laugh. Have a good day Dude. We'll look forward to your return when things get less busy.

Here's my contribution for today, Etta James, accompanied by B.B. King. Talk about a power house! She died last week at age 73. Her birthday was January 25. Here is "Something's Got a Hold on Me."

Rossy: I don't speak French. Sorry. I'm a shameful Canadian! grin Hopefully someone comes along that does.

Phew! Wayne is back. I was worried. You see I was contemplating a whole other theory to the alien abduction one proposed by professor Hawking.

What was my theory you ask? . . . .

. . . Zombies

Oh no!! I hadnt thought about zombies for a whole week as well!!
And its dark outside.
And I have to go to the shop.
In the dark.
Past the churchyard.
where someone was buried.
This week.
and the ground is still freshly disturbed.

Don't stress yourself too much Wayne! You'll be fine. See, you're starting to remember a few names. Now say, "Griffin..." it will start to come back. So glad we got you back man! wink

Good morning everyone! I've decided to share some music I've just started listening to this week. I learned about Rokia Traoré through a local guitarist and recording artist I'm acquainted with, Mick.

Rokia Traoré was born January 26, 1974, according to my Wikipedia notes. She is a Victoires de la Musique award-winning Malian singer, songwriter and guitarist. Born in Mali as a member of the Bambara ethnic group, her father was a diplomat and she travelled widely in her youth. She visited such countries as Algeria, Saudi Arabia, France and Belgium and was exposed to a wide variety of influences. Her hometown of Kolokani is in the northwestern part of Mali's Koulikoro region.

Here is her performance at the 2004 International WOMAD Festival. WOMAD stands for World of Music, Arts and Dance, bringing together many forms of music, arts and dance from countries and cultures around the world.

Hey Wayne, so glad to see you’re back!

Griffin, that festival seems very interesting; I really like to know about folk music from any part of the world.
