After months of deliberations, I've finally decided to buy the Roland RD-700NX. Now I have to look for a stand. Which stand would you all recommend that won't wobble with the 700NX on it?

Thanks!

Nick

the KSG8 is excellent ...the Yamaha LG800 is also excellent.
Neither is exactly cheap

KSG8. I owned the RD700GXF and RD700NX (aesthetically identical) and they looked great on the KSG8 stand. The only problem with the stand is it doesn't break down without unscrewing several screws, which is just not practical. If you're leaving it at home, I say definitely get it.

I use the Roland KS-12 on gigs. Just unfold the legs and it is set up. You got to be careful when it is folded for transport. It would be easy to damage the upholstery cause the ends of the stand are a bit sharp. I am thinking to pack it in a keyboard bag to save my car seats.

Personally, I use a K&M table stand - rock solid, and folds down in seconds.

James,

Do you know the model number of your K&M stand?

Thanks!

Nicolas

I use a table stand too and am pretty happy with it for my GX. It's solid with lots of space and room underneath. Very easy to carry and setup.

It might be a little pricey, but it's a solid stand with great build quality.
In my opinion, if you've invested in a decent board like the RD-700NX, it's worth spending money on good quality accessories - speakers/headphones, stand, stool, etc.

Cheers,
James

Thanks for all the replies. I really like the space that the KS-G8 and the K&M table stand offer under the piano, so it's gonna be one of these 2 that I'm buying. The RD-700NX won't be moved very much at all because it's a home piano. Finally, I can get the KS-G8 for $230 and the K&M table stand for $200.

For those of you who have the KS-G8, is the installation complicated? What kind of height adjustments does this stand offer?

Thanks!

Nicolas

Have a look at the Roland KS18 Z frame stand. I have my NX on one of these. It's low priced, sturdy and very portable. Enjoy the NX experience.

Hi all,

With the Roland KSG8 or QuickLok ws550, is there a simple way to add a music stand?

Thanks in advance!
