A sign of conservative financial times, perhaps? It is pretty underwhelming. There isn't one product I'm excited about yet.

The LX15 has just joined the short list. Youtube sound etc etc but this is an impressive demo:

and the early piano sounds could be a useful advantage over my first choice V-Piano.

From what I can hear, it sounds very nice. I do wish they could shut up for more than the last three or four seconds. Why do they never want us to hear their instruments properly?

+100000

I hope / expect they will use the performance as an audio demo later. Roland aren't bad when it comes to audio demos but their videos are cheesily dire.

You clearly haven't seen Kawai Europe's offerings - truly dreadful.

It's Debussy, but yeah, that voice was so annoying.

It's amazing to me that Roland has made the LCD screen even smaller than the LX10F. It will be very fiddly trying to use the piano designer with such a crappy screen. (menus/pages! Ugh! mad )

Good! Looks like they pushed PHA III down to the middle line member, previously it was just in HP-307, now it's also in HP-505.

Yeah, I couldn't tell if that was Debussy or Ravel, the narrator was just drowning her out. wink

The SV-1 in black is rather disappointing, although I still love the design of the instrument overall.

Also, the NU1 doesn't appear to be on the Yamaha NAMM site yet...

Cheers,
James

I just posted the following in the predictions thread, but it perhaps makes sense to paste it here also.

...

No new CAs, CNs, MPs - Kawai America's primary focus this year is the new Shigeru Kawai series.

I believe your hope may still be alive for later this year.
