Good evening everyone!! and welcome Meredith A , the music was Andreas Scholl "how sweet the moonlight"
and was posted by Recaredo who has impeccable taste, especially so in all things Romantic or renaisance!
I will have a large mug of yorkshire tea, as is my want and heritage!

Surely you dont want to see Venice totally dry, i think they need the canals!!!
If you thought venice was wet, you should try Wales UK !! LOL.

Thanks recaredo, lovely as usual..

OMG Rossy! I first saw this film "Powaqqatsi" when it was released in 1988. I bought the album. It still blows me away!

Evening Griffin, I thought you may like that!!
One of the most amazing things about dead can dance is that singer Lisa gerrard did a lot of travelling in the east, and obviously studied the music she heard. Someof the scales and modes they use are incredibley lovely.

To me at least there is nothing DCD did that I dont love!!!

Gorgeous Recaredo! I've just finished a hectic day at work, and am now preparing to go home. However, I decided to stop by here and lurk. I am glad I did. Now I'll go home and practice on the piano too! How inspiring! Thanks.

Hi Rossy! Yes, they are amazing. I'm so glad I stopped by here before I went home. In fact, Becca had the power of suggestion. She's having Earl Grey. I went for some green tea. It's good to unwind a bit before heading home.

There have been some great postings today! Delighted to see some new folks joining us!

I'll soon be gone for the evening so I'll leave you all with one of my favorite artists, whom I will learn to play!

Fantastic contributions, Rossy and Becca! Those were pretty expressive songs.

And glad you all enjoyed “How sweet the moonlight”. I watched the film “The Merchant of Venice” some time ago and loved the song.

In the seventies, if you went to the fairground, this is one thing you would hear on the waltzers or the speedway!!!

In this Video there is much posing, and some german kids enjoying themselves immensely and expressing that enjoyment like only the germans know how to,.... by clapping.

We have not forgotten the ebay harpsichord scandel...

lol... anyways.. great tune....
shoo bop bop shoowaddy an all that...

Lovely song. Think I'll have to learn that. Doesn't look too hard at all.

Ahem! The chords certainly are not hard... morriseys melodies, particularly this one is a tricksy timed one to hold in your head whilst playing, unless you are very familiar with the song.

I got the chords OK, and now will go look for the sheet to see the melody, usually I can hear it , but not on this occasion, the chorus isnt to bad to remember the melody, but the verse is for me.
