Who tried them ?

I found "Ivory feel G" action a bit "lazy" and soft, but better than previous one (couldn' compare head to head). Dont know if ivory feel G, is based on PHA alpha II (plus ivory touch, and escapement), or is a brand new action...

Decay of sounds with supernatural sound engine is lively and natural to my ears.

Edit :
[ 30 sounds in 2 groups :
- pianos sounds (I don't something like 6 / 7 ?)
- ensemble sounds (some seems special preset, like dual sounding, or splitted keyboard), didn't understand how it works.

I don't know how many are supernatural, after reading DPBSD, probably only piano set or subset.

I was in hurry, not time to look carefully, sorry
]

Speakers seems not good (2x12W), not well defined, no dynamic (narrow and cold sound).

Other features :
- simple UI : on/off, volume wheel, LED + few buttons ( + mode buttons : piano / ensemble / recorder , then set button : +/-)
- Connectivity : midi in/out, audio in / out, 2 headphone plugs, no usb.
- Simple recorder : one song (1 track).
- Metronome.
- 3 pedals
- four hand (2 indepedant pedals) mode

Prices : F-120 990€, RP-301 : 1099€

Seems pretty effective package for me. Any other opinion ?

Can't find any user manual.

Don't know if we can dual tone (seems that some ensemble sound are pre-dual), also seem that some ensemble sound are "split" aware... But not sure.

I am also wondering if we can record several song, or not. I understand 10 songs, which being mono track (layer), but not sure.

Any knows ?

Zack,

Not able to view the pictures from your links above, since they are not loading.

Found some similar photos here, however:

Well, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I tried them both when I was looking for a console DP. As you may recall I eventually purchased a Kawai CN33. No contest, on physical looks, keyboard action and even sound (the overall sound system). Just IMHO. Think you've made a mistake getting distracted here. This type of distraction can go on almost forever. smile

Edit to say it was the F110 I tried and not the 120. My comment about appearance stands. I did try the 301 though.

To discuss the CN33 vs F120 (or RP301), and the overall sound system approach please join my other thread (choosing DP for family). But I understand your point.

Are your sure you tried the RP301? What do you think of action ? For me, good feeling, but too "lazy". But probably I can live with... Will go to try again.

I tried again. The Ivory Feel G is actually quite heavy, compare to PHA II for example. You have to "push" the keys, and they are slow to pull back: a bit sluggish, and tiring. And sound attack is not in place for me (connection between action and sound is "floating"). The ivory material is not as pleasant as other brand.
Edit : all subjective of course.
