So I decided on N2 since space (and $) were the major factors. The N1 was nice but I wanted the TRS, Ivorite keys, speakers more like N3.

It appears to of sounded louder in store but it's OK. I will be trying it in conjunction with my stereo. I'm going to use this at low power just to add some presence in whole room and the sub should add some extra lows.

The sustain pedal adds a little to much volume when you depress. I suppose it's trying to reproduce the sound when all strings are free to vibrate. I like the soft pedal very much; I could really hear the difference.

I'm wondering if the other sounds were sampled using Spatial Acoustic Sampling or are they just samples from previous EP's?

I miss the sound of my Steinway K a little bit, but the grand action and satisfying sound is a worthwhile trade off. Plus being able to change the sound and record myself can help if boredom creeps into my practicing.

I like the bench, but they gave me one with adjustment knob on left ( ;

It's a great instrument and really draws you in. It also allowed me to rearrange my house and gave me more options. The K was so big and heavy I had only one spot I could put it.

Thanks to everyone that went before me for introducing the AG. When I bought my K around ten years ago, I was very close to buying a Grand Touch but decided it was not advanced enough. I'm glad I got to experience a Steinway then and now I'm glad to have this technical marvel.

Congrats on the acquisition. I'm starting from a different place with my N2, since I'm completely new to the piano. Still, I'm drawn to play it every day. I do love the action, and I find the sound of the N2 itself pretty good -- certainly compared with an acoustic piano that's some months past its last tuning.

Many congratulations on your new piano. The EP sounds are in my opinion unique to the AG - nothing very special but clean and musical - and they complement the acoustic piano sounds well. The action is a joy to me - there's nothing close to it on a digital piano.

Cheers,

Steve

What was your opinion on the speaker system difference between the N1/N2 and the N2/N3? Did the N2 sound closer to the N1 or the N3, or about halfway in between?

I noticed that too on my N1. The effect is more pronounced the soonder you press the pedal after pressing the keys.
