It's hard to tell Wayne, Mrs R is more knowledgable about the tensions that exist in Brum, between the Afro caribbean comunity and the Asian community, having been brouht up there, her family still live there. Lets hope that the deaths of the three lads mown down by that car dont in themselves set things off again.. Winson green, is known to Mrs R.
Did you listen to John cooper clarke that I posted "how to kill Dracula" ? Its very funny...

Good morning! I was pretty scarce yesterday. However, there were a lot of great posts. PPP, I liked the Schoenberg selection. What's the title?
I'm just going to post a few of my favorite doo wop music selections. My first post will be a popular girl group in the late 1950s. Here are the Chantels singing "Maybe.".
Griffin, very good selections about Doo Wop. I didn’t know this music style, but I’m enjoying it!
Polyphasicpianist, thanks for that version on Transfigured Night. I remember that I had to take long time and several listening, to assimilate this music. But once I got it, this music became one of my favourites pieces.
Recaredo, you said "assimilate" are you familiar with star trek and the Borg?

No Recaredo, its the correct word to use in the context you used it in. I just wondered if you knew about the borg?
Anyways, some great posting there... Doo wop..brilliant as usuall Griffin.
WOW, just found something by the simply gorgeous Fenella Fielding...
For those of you who do not know who Fenella Fielding is: She played Valeria Watt in the film "carry on screaming"
In a stunning red dress, she reclined on the chaise, and asked "do you mind if I smoke" When harry H corbett who played inspector sydney bung said "no of course not"
She proceeded to emit smoke without having a cigerette, mainly from her head area....
Anyways, heres Fenella singing... sort of jazz, but its Okay because she is so sexyfuntime...

There are plenty of people that speak English as their native language and have no idea that there is such a word as assimilate. Your English is way better than you think.
