I come to confess - I fell off the wagon frown and have no legitimate excuse. I hit a wall and just simply couldn't face practicing for a while. I'm back now, but will try again next year.
thanks,
Jane

Well, I think that as long as you were on the wagon within the Sept 30 deadline, you can get back on and still count for this year.
I'll put you "back on the wagon".

I have a really lame excuse for Oct. 8th. I had a hangnail. I had a hangnail and caught it on something and later my finger just got red and swollen and it hurt. Really hurt. I tried to practice in the evening but it just hurt to much and I figured If I was concentrating too hard on not bumping that finger into keys I wouldn't be doing myself much good anyway. So I didn't practice, but I did have my hands on the keyboard for about a minute but things didn't work out.

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

Little Blue. That sounds painful and definitely difficult to practice

Jane, ....:) Happy to help with the motivation!

Little Blue....that's a nasty ouchie..... if it is red, it could be infected. You might want to use some polysporin or something similar. Or even soak in very hot salty water, or peel some garlic cloves, put them in boiling water, let it cool enough to put your finger in and soak - but make sure it is still very hot.

Did some soaking Saturday and peroxide. The swelling went down and I can play now but I can tell its not over and done with. Luckily I happen to be married to a paramedic so my boo boos usually get taken care of quite well. When I have the flu he threatens to give me an IV if I don't drink enough laugh

I'm leaving this afternoon for Vegas, won't be back till late Sunday night. I'll have time to practice a bit today before I leave, but don't expect I'll get a chance Fri-Sat-Sun. I know there are lots of pianos in Vegas, but this is a group trip & the last time I went anywhere with this particular group of friends, we spent most of our time discussing what we'd like to do, & herding each other around. So please put me on the excused list for the 14th, 15th & 16th.
Thanks!

Drove to Atlanta this past weekend for a wedding. (Lovely weather and views of autumn foliage, but it was a LONG drive.) Anyway, I missed practice on Saturday (10/15). It was good to come home to my piano on Sunday evening.

I didn't practice or play on the 17th & 18th because of a migraine.

Aw, ouch ouch ouch....... that's nasty. Did you put some vitamin E cream or aloe vera on it? I hope you heal quickly.

I've had my days of practicing with just the left because I had too much tension in the right and had to rest it for a while....it was weeks actually ...very boring.

I'm BACK!! The breast surgery went well on Tuesday and the pathology report was negative meaning they got all the rogue cells. I'll have intensive radiation therapy next week and then should be cancer free.

Played my Christmas music this morning. Doing the happy dance...

Yeah I probably fell off like half a year, and these days I can't even find the motivation to play at all.
