I read on another thread that Badura-Skoda's Interpreting Bach at the Keyboard is a worthwhile read, so I checked it out on Amazon UK, and found that someone with a hardback edition (in the US) is looking for £1,244.75. I like that .75. crazy

The table of contents does look interesting.

Lost in cyberspace.in the UK.
Obviously Eglantine, since "cardboardanno" made the urban dictionary, the price of cardboard has rocketed in the USA as a result, and this has now been reflected in the price of the hardcover copy .
At least the paperback has the same info in it.

The.75 is to cover the cost of the carrier bag it is posted out in.

As you say, the pb has the same info, but still does not come in cheap - either new or second hand - at 30 or 40 quid. University press publications - or at least some of them - are getting seriously pricey.

I would have thought you would be chuffed at finding a copy for £1,204.75 less than the hardback version.

Still, like you say no one really wants to pay 30 40 hard earned queens heads for a book, have you tried abe books? you never know.
