Hi folks,

I recently picked up a CP33. I'll be using it at home for practice, so I don't need a light/mobile stand. I really like the "furniture" look of the LP140 stand.

I realize the LP140 is designed specifically for the P140 or the P155, but is it possible to use it with a CP33? Any other similar stands I should look at?

Thanks!

There are probably threaded inserts under the P140/P155 that don't exist on the CP33, so physically attaching the stand could be difficult. You'd need to either open your piano and tap your own, or add L-brackets.

What I'd do is just glue some felt to the top of the stand and set the piano on that. Shouldn't be any less sturdy than a portable stand. The CP33 should be close (+/- an inch or two) to the length and depth of the P140/P155.

The P155 and others in that line and the Clavanova line are all built in a thick wooden, or really MDF base. The base has many threaded inserts on it. The CP series uses a completely different style of construction. I doubt the screw holes would line up.

But the LP120 stand has four machine screws that point upward. You could get a piece of wood and make the LP140 stand into a table then place the CP33 on the table.

I think this would work but the only thing that makes the LP140 stand worth the money is that it cosmetically matches the P155 piano. It does not cosmetically match the CP33.

Get a double X stand - Proel or something. My CP33 stands firm on my Proel, it was terrible before on a crappy simple X stand designed for light synths only. It was also dangerous in my view.
