Xmas music.

I have what I think is a terrific collection of intermediate to advanced Xmas music I have been collecting for several years. There are arrangements by Leroy Anderson,Ricardo Boppre, Sally Deford, Liberace, Roger Williams, Percy Grainger, Ferde Grofe, Katsaris, Bill Edwards, A. Rosenblatt, Dick Wellstood, Max Reger, etc. I have the music in one large folder with 50 files and a total size of 42MB.

I have made these available at Piano World and the Pianofiles site in the past. Due to my lack of computer knowledge and/or the limitations of my email(Windows Vista) in terms of how big a file it can send, everytime I send these to someone I have to send them in tiny batches of attachments. So I end up sending 10-15 emails and having to wait in between each email.

Is anyone willing to somehow combine all this music into one file that I could send in a single email to anyone who requests it? Is this possible to do?

I'm not that interested in instructions on how to do this (unless there is a VERY simple way)because, although I'd guess some of you could do it in five minutes and would find it elementary, I know that my computer skills are so weak that an explanation of how to do this probably wouldn't work for me.

Thanks!

Try using Dropbox or Sendthisfile. I know in Dropbox, you can make the whole folder "shared" and then send the link for download to your recipient. Hope this helps.

If you send it to me, I could probably combine it in one file (if it's PDF it's doable), or a zipped folder. Then I will just host it in my website "forever" so you can just offer the link to anyone who wants to grab the file like follows: www.nikolas-sideris.com/PLV/XMas.PDF or something (file does not exist right now). Anyone clicking the link would be able to download the file (free of charge of hassle of course) and at fast speeds! smile

Thanks so much for your offer to do this!

I was about to try Dropbox(thanks Melissa), but knowing my lack of computer skils I would probably get lost somewhere or screw up my computer and spend another 6 hours on the phone with Dell. Hopefully, you'll get my first email with attachments soon.

This all sounds wonderful. I know that I would be interested.

Thanks PL and Nik-

A concern has been voiced regarding the legality of sharing these arrangements. Are they public domain or at least out of print?

Anything I share will be done through private email (or at least not on PW). Most of them I got on other internet sites but I'm not sure which are public domain or out of print or neither.

If this thread poses any problem for PW, feel free to delete it.
