Let me start this thread.

You know you've played too much piano when...

1. Playing Hanon exercises start sounding like really catchy songs.

2. At rock concerts, you rather watch the pianist at work instead of the whole band.

+1 thumb
That's funny. Because I often tend to focus my attention to the pianist instead of the whole band. But I do not consider this to be a "problem", I just try to watch how the piano works and tend to "isolate" the piano sound from the rest of the sounds.

when you start tapping any horizontal surface

when you feel sad when a song doesn't have piano in it

when you take piano scores with you on the bus/train and read them

when you don't care your musical taste is a minority in society/friends

when a piece starts playing in your head according to your mood/situation

When you're going through a score at Starbucks as if you were the director, a lady stares at you, grabs some sugar in order to take a look at what you're doing and says: Oh... pianist. Then goes back and sits with her friend.

When you date a girl and the vast majority of your topics are piano-related. Then she starts talking about Justin Bieber and you know you MUST leave.

I'm starting to think people take things too seriously. You never heard of these "You know you have been xxxxx too much when.." jokes before?

And yes, I believe there can be too much piano in your life wink

when you are in the eighth floor of a building, and you think you are an octave higher with respect to ground

when you think you can start a conversation in Italian just because you know what Da Capo, presto, forte, etc mean

when you live in A-flat in DC that you can only enter with a sharp key

When you dont have to trim your nails anymore, because the piano keys are wearing them down enough.

when you have "dinged" your cup of coffee in the microwave for the sixteenth time... oh YES, do you do that as well?

When Casio doesn't sound like a calculator, Yamaha doesn't sound like a bike, and when the most interesting thing in a car are the pedals! (I'm getting my driver's license next year, I hope I'll not push the gas anytime the song in the radio changes chords...)

Also when you have an irresistible urge to beat everyone with 88 combo in Texas hold'em!
