I know somebody here who might be willing to pay the owner of this website to allow you permanent access to this post so that you can edit this post without having to post again.. so that he can beat you when it comes to post count.
I can't pick a "greatest" waltz, but my favorite has always been the G flat (op. 70 no. 1. Three runners up: the Grande Valse Brillante (Op. 18), the A minor Valse Brillante (Op. 34 no.2) and the C sharp minor (Op. 64 no.2).
Algernon: I hope, Cecily, I shall not offend you if I state quite frankly and openly that you seem to me to be in every way the visible personification of absolute perfection.
Is that because you play it? I like it too (and I kinda play it too but not nearly as well as I'd like to.. I think its a deceptive little piece and I don't find it easy to play well).
