I know we have a few organists here, but this will be of interest to all I believe. Dr. James Kibbie, has recorded the complete organ works of Bach on original baroque organs in Germany and the recordings are available to anyone for download. Find them all via THIS link.

I'm just waiting for a pedalboard attached to a piano keyboard actuator (maybe to plug into a Disklavier (R)) so that one could emulate a pedal piano/organ with an ordinary piano.

You can buy MIDI pedalboards, but I don't think they work with an ordinary piano. The piano pedals would be in the way, for one thing.

Great link!

When in Germany this summer, we visited many churches and cathedrals only to find that so many of them had been replaced (bombs and all).

It would be great to tour specifically to hear those older ones that are still being played. I secretly dream of playing them. I did manage to sneak into the back of a church during a wedding in Lunesburg though and the organ sounded beautiful!

* we did hear two old original organs that were in two museums - one member was even able to play them!

Thanks Stores so very much for this link. Am listening to the Passacaglia right now - a divine interpretation. The organ for this work dates from 1724 - so the sounds are just as what Bach would have heard. *drooling*

WOW! That's Brilliant! I'm downloading EVERYTHING!

Now... about the stereo: I have a studio myself, which will cover everything! I'm LOVING the prospect of listening to some great Bach, coming from an organ in my studio! YAY me! grin
