shocked wow
Your willingness to undergo that extensive 100 mile regular trip just to have access to a piano shows how dedicated you are!
Most people go through life just falling into a subject at school and a job that they don't like.
for you to have such desire and motivation, especially at what is still a fairly young age, makes you one in the minority.
Congratulations and thanks for bringing us on board. thumb

Congratulations Teodor! I find your story to be especially inspiring because I am about the same age as you. Your indomitable will to succeed at music is amazing, and I look forward to reading about more and more of your successes, because, let's be honest, I'm sure there will be many of them in the future. smile

That's awesome, Teodor! I've been lurking this forum for a while and find your story truly inspirational, from your amazing travels to play on that university piano to purchasing your own. And now this?! After reading your stories I have come to a conclussion: I need to apply myself more. Thank you for giving me this. Good luck and please keep us updated on your future ventures I really do enjoy reading them!

You put yourself under a lot of pressure by making this exam the be all and end all. To be cool during the exam and play to the best of your abilities under those trying circumstances must be a great feeling that you can always carry with you. Knowing you will rise to the occasion when pressure mounts is where self confidence comes from.

teodor, anything is possible, with a positive mental attitude, you are what you think, wether you think you can do something or you think you cannot you are right, if you want to be better than everyone else then train harder and for longer and you will be, all this about natural talent is bull-???? Nigel Short has no natural chess talent but by training 16 hours a day he became one of the best in the world. If you want something bad enough you will get it , theres a lot of negativity on this forum, so just stay positive and one day i will come to one of your concerts.

My heartiest congratulations Teodor. I have admired your determination and attention to the task you dreamed of. I am a full-time musician after a similarly crazy start but your belief and determination appear to be greater than mine have been - enjoy your future in music, you deserve it!

Teodor, well done !!!
I just posted this video in another thread, but I want to dedicate it to you, because it is so on topic.

"What a beautifull day" by the levellers.

with the words "Nothing is impossible,in my own powerfull mind"

Hope it adds to your positive mind. Brilliant news.

Teodor- you should be so proud of what you have achieved. I am much older than you.. not quite twice your age....and started playing just over a year ago also. I can't imagine someone accomplishing so much in so short a time! As Macracanthus said earlier, you are an inspiration-- and I will try harder as a result. I just replaced my old Wurlitzer spinnet with a new-to-me (aka used) gorgeous Charles Walter console and between the piano and your example I am ready to apply myself more seriously. Thank you so much!!

I am a bit late on the uptake but I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS! I remember the trouble that you had with your hands and how you almost gave up. You will be a marvelous piano teacher.
