I have a trial version of the TuneLab software.

I'm trying to locate a 'print' function as I would like to be able to print out the tuning curve. Is it possible at all ?

As far as I know not. You have to use a graphics program to capture the image then print it.

Yes. Do a screen grab, save it as an image, and then print that.

Yes, I did it with print screen function too. Just felt it would have been ideal if TuneLab had a separate function of this.

Agreed, would be a great feature.

Has anyone tried taking a tun file and graphing it in excel?

Sure! You can even save your overpull measurements to a file, and print them out! The discontinuities in the tuning curve come from changes in partials.

Maybe the print function is disabled in the trial version.

Is Cy referring to opening the actual file outside of TuneLab. Most of the files created in TL can be edited in wordpad, they are text files. If I remember correctly, after your done doing an overpull, you can safe the file and then open it in another program.

The tuning files are all in .tun format. I don't think you can open it with other software. Moreover, to see the tuning curve, you have to go back to TuneLab tuning curve screen.

All the .tun .tem and other files are just text and can be opened with wordpad, vim or whatever text editor you prefer on windows.

Indeed, it can opened by notepad. But it only shows the numbers, not the curve.

I'm hoping for something that will enable me to print out the 'curve' other than Print Screen function.

I'm sure you could import the numbers into excel and plot a graph which you could print from there.

Paul
