This Sunday, July 31st at 6 pm, Roger Wright, who competed in the first round of the 2001 Van Cliburn, is presenting a recital at the LA County Museum of Art's Bing Auditorium. On the program are Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit, Balakirev's Islamey (yes, both in one recital), and "Down by the Riverside" from Rzewski's North American Ballades. Just a little something for anyone in the Los Angeles area who wants to enjoy a free recital.
