Nice! I played in a couple master classes for Alessio Bax. He's a cool guy and a great pianist!

"..apologized for the lengthy concert.." laugh I don't know if anybody wanted or expected that apology!

Current:
Beethoven: Sonata Op.31, No.2 ("Tempest")
Debussy: Danseuses de Delphes (Prelude 1, Book 1)
Next in line:
Chopin: Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op.23
Debussy: Le vent dans la plaine (Prelude 3, Book 1)
Debussy: Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l'air du soir (Prelude 4, Book 1)

He is a very humble guy - considering the talent that he has. Definitely worth listening to if he's in your town/city.

I heard a recital by Bax a few years ago at the Mannes IKIF. I thought it was terrific. He played the same Bartok piece mentioned in the article in the OP. It is his own transcription of a Bartok non piano work.

It definitely was. I've never been overly passionate about Bartok's total output (I love the piano sonata, the etudes, the concerti, and several smaller works), but Bax convinced me that I need to seriously reassess this composer.
