Thanks for your input. Just like you're saying "these instruments are required to support a considerable amount more weight" I believe they have to. The problem I can imagine is that the structure is made in such a way it may be difficult to achieve good strength in the long term perspective. I wouldn't be surprised if the top lid is able to withstand immediate down forces but lacks in the ability to withstand long term exposure without sagging. Do you know if this has been evaluated by KAWAI?

Just put a strong plank below the iMac. This will distribute the weight evenly and the pressure extorted to your Kawai will be minimal.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  PLEASE STOP THIS!  I remember a comedy talk in TV... Looks like it has become reality... I've got another topic: About the sustain pedal. How many presses will it survive? Should we save presses and avoid playing with sustain to extend the DP lifetime?

A while back there were posts showing concern about wearing out the on/off switch!  What's next? ... - If enough dust settle on the keyboard, will it collapse? - Will the tone be affected by global warming? - How often should I tune my digital piano?

Yeah, the "should I turn the DP off" thread was really funny! Although a bit sad since there were people that really took this serious... Anyway, I've got a question: What's the best location for my two singing bowls to place on top of the DP? I'm not sure if I should place them more to the left (to get more bass power) or to the right (to get a richer harmonic overtone spectrum).
