Rossy! Fancy meeting you here! I was busy posting my pieces, I didn't get a chance to hear your posts. I will do that now.

This was good Rossy! I hadn't heard of it before. I also hadn't really listened to Nick Cave either. I noticed that he sang a very famous Leonard Cohen piece as well, "I'm Your Man." I was impressed with that.

BTW, I was blocked from seeing your post in the U.S. I found this link for those having the same problems.

Alright guys, just popping in to say hello!

Rossy, I thought the goldfinger remix fitted together fine, unless I'm missing something.

The Nina Simone and Kylie posts are fab smile

See you 2moz, if not b4, night!

I like the Shins. Best compliment I've had was when a buddy heard me playing this on the stereo from another room, he thought it was me (the acoustic intro)...funny, my 3y/o son is listening here with me, and he just said, "that's Luke music" lol

Well . . . some alien species became inadvertently annihilated, stars crashed, things exploded, and, to make a long story short, the whole of space and time became slightly compromised. But it all worked out so that in the end I actually gained an hour - so that's good.

Great posts PPP and Leon. I'm a big fan of Wilco, Leon. I'm so glad you are back PPP. What an ordeal it must have been. You are just in time for some Sunday Classical postings.

My first post is Concerto for Oboe in A Minor, by Vivaldi.

My next post is "Song without words - Op67 No4" by Mendelssohn. The trumpet soloist is Hakan Hardenberger.

Thanks Rossy! I've been looking at some of the Mendelssohn music as possible candidates for me to perform some day WAY in the future.

My next selection is American violinist Joshua Bell's performance of Nocturne in C Sharp Minor by Frederic Chopin.

If you have any particular likes from the songs without words selection Griffin, give me a shout and I can scan the relevant score and email or pm it to you , no probs... I would be happy that it is shared..managed to get a coffee stain on the front cover!! I always do that, I put me coffee cup down on so many things to save table tops and things, and end up staining everything!!!

All my workshop manuals for vehicles and motorbikes are similarly stained with oily paw prints and coffee "rings" lol...

My last classical post for today will be an African American spiritual, "Give Me Jesus" performed by Jessye Norman.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

How'd you do that Wayne!?! I'm impressed. I'm off for a quick errand. I'll be back in about an hour.
