Thomann sells some brand name stuff, but they (apparently) also sell pianos under their own label. As such they're little known, so it's somewhat unlikely that you'll find an answer.

Here's a review of the DP-30 on the UK Piano website. But I'm not sure why the reviewer talks about collecting by car when Thomann do free delivery on this piano. -

I think it's an independent review. But quality of the review is, uhm, quite questionable, e.g. It is easy to use, my 4 years old can play it at once without my help.

There are reviews available on thomman.de too, but
1.they're in German (try google translate or find a friend who can translate)
2.I don't know how much you can trust those...most are 4 and 5 star reviews, only one has 3 stars, none with 1 or 2 stars.

I think you can trust the review on thomann.de, they should be independent, same as e.g. reviews on Amazon, they range from detailed expert reviews to, let's say, "hey I bought this sh*t, so it must be the best thing on earth since sliced bread". I try to translate the best rated review: At the beginning I had lessons on a keyboard. It was without pedal, pressure sensitivity (no hammer mechanics), and had a bad sound quality. Because I always dreamed from owning a DP, and now there was an opportunity, I directly chose the Thomann DP-30 RW/C, and I have to say… There is a whole world of difference between an keyboard and a DP! I assisted the kind man who delivered the DP to take it in since 60kg is difficult to move into the 4th floor. Packaging was very good. The assemblance was very easy, the only tool you need is a Phillips screwdriver. Assembling the very heavy top was difficult so I needed some assistance from a second person. After installation it was rock solid. First I switched it on to get an overview over the functions and knobs. It’s a whole lot of functions, I can tell you!  For some of the features I had to consult the very easy to read manual. The handling is very easy and you know instantly which knob has which function. The sound is much better than with a regular keyboad. At least compared to my old one. I often played a real acoustic piano, and I have to say, this one is very authentic. A small drawback is that the keys are very loud, when you reduce the volume. It’s a kind of plastic sound. But if you want to play at normal volume levels it’s no longer audible. Or just use headphones. The quality is ingenious. Despite the low price. It appears noble and powerful. Finally I would recommend this DP to everyone, who has a tight budget and would like to have a DP with an authentic sound. And this one was the review with only 3 stars (sounds a little bit strange BTW): „A lot of trash for allegedly small money“
This piece promises lots of headaches.
I already have the second one here at home that starts single notes to disappear, as quickly as my money for that one disappears…
Money back, no way, not possible.
I have to say that I have some health problems, but they don’t care that I have to move the DP from one floor to another.
I am completely disappointed, because thomann couldn’t tell me what happened to the first DP, it seemed to get lost somehow.
My recommendation: Keep your finger away from this one.

WOW! That's quite a beast of DP! Lol, I would definately not count on that review. UK Pianos have there own "El Cheapo" D.P. range, the "Classenti", that's the range they usually promote. But isn't it the way websites survive by advertising and promoting, i.e. our own Piano World? -

- Here's the DP-30 on You Tube - Thanks for the link, @bluebilly. OMG that's awful. Sounds almost like it has no layers, almost no velocity sensitivity, and very very short sound samples / decay. But hey, on the other side it's only 399 Euro... I would prefer an entry level stage piano like the Yamaha NP V-60, same price new in Germany.

I agree about the awfulness of that video, but I'm not sure though if that is actually the instrument's fault or the player's!! The player is no Glenn Gould, that's for sure!  Rafa.

The player is no Glenn Gould, that's for sure! But with a few more unnecessary hand movements she could give his visual style a run for its money! I find excessively emotive playing rather embarrassing to watch.

LOL! Perhaps you are right... but I don't know if you follow many of the classical players. There is a beautiful DVD of Alfred Brendel (the repertoire is incredible and the 'behind the scenes' production is great as well). There you see a clearly manner-filled Brendel, much more than when he was younger. His wife, at one point in the interview claims that those gestures come to him naturally, and during his career he repressed those during recordings and concerts. At older age, he let go repressing his faces, and, since they come naturally (they are not fake emotive expressions, that's for sure!), he is more into the playing! I was really surprised to hear this as I had always said that, at one point during his life, aliens abducted Brendel cause his early recordings where always, to me, lackluster, but his later works are sublime! His wife says its because he decided to allow this facial contractions to 'show' when he has when playing in pro of allowing him to fully concentrate on his music. I believe Gould's motions and even singing is part of the same process. I could go without his humming the phrases, but I don't care much about the emotive playing if music sounds like his does. This other girl on the other hand... Rafa.

Definitely a truly awful sound, with virtually instant decay. Rafa, it didn't look to me like it was the fault of the pianist.

This one seems to have a little bit better sound quality, but still no real expression possible. Furthermore you can clearly see the extreme bouncy keys. Youtube Thomann DP30

This one seems to have a little bit better sound quality, but still no real expression possible. Better, but the midrange is really fake sounding. I'm guessing < 8MB sample set running on a tiny, slow processor.

...Rafa, it didn't look to me like it was the fault of the pianist. Well, I've never seen someone with so much wrist action play remotely good but you can be right though... I agree on the sound though, it makes for a very muffled tone. Rafa.
