While wasting time tonight looking at ebay, which I haven't done in forever, I couldn't believe my eyes. eek

I used to own this piano!

When I sold it I put it on ebay and found my buyer there. I guess it is a small world. LOL!

JohnC,

That may not be the only incredible coincidence.

Any chance this has anything to do with the Frank Weston, eBay piano seller, also from Maryland, notorious of the pianocat88 (Lisa W) deal? A few of the real oldtimers here might remember that one, though it was mostly discussed on RMMP.

Regards,

Rick Clark

Rick,

I noticed the seller's name and wonder the same myself. I'm curious how it got to this seller because I'm sure that isn't who I sold it to.

The work was all done here by my rebuilder.

JohnC:

No regrets, I hope?

Surely that 1901 B is keeping you happy.

Cheers!

So he bought the piano from you on ebay and he's selling it again for a profit??

Bruce,

No regrets! Although sometimes I wonder *why* I did what I did. But I love the B! Although the A was no slouch. When I had the work done I spent money like I was going to keep it.

BB,

I sold the piano five years ago. I also found out that this seller is not the one I sold it to.

Oh, and Rick, this seller is Frank Weston's son. He bought the piano at auction.

Hah! As I suspected. I remember him saying he was setting his son(s) up in the business.

Hey Larry- get a load!

Who else remembers that Lisa deal....?

Rick

I do.
A Knabe grand sold as a great prospect for rebuild.
OR was it represented as already rebuilt?
Claimed to be a great deal.
She trusted him and bought it sight unseen.

It was a dog.
She got ripped off.
She tried to get it settled fairly, but basically got screwed.

Do I have it right?

My tech told me about it.

Poor Lisa.
She is a sweetie.
She came to my first, (or was it the 2nd?) piano party.

Pianocat88 rang a bell in my head. I wasn't on RMMP, but I think there was plenty told of the story on the PTG list.

John, ..must be bittersweet wink

Happy New Year to all,
Chris
