Technically you are correct. Great analogy. But this doesn't alter the fact that it too is not the real thing.

From today's PianoMart listings. I guess some of the older Steinway concert grands were a bit on the small side.

Here's a funny one I saw today in the Nashville Craigslist ads. http://nashville.craigslist.org/msg/2464729796.html
For when this cl listing expires, the ad is for a Lester Low Back Spinner piano. I guess it was the for runner to the Sit and Spin.

Near the top of today's Ebay listing's is a Lester spinet with
"all three pedals and seat" for just ONE MILLION dollars.

Perhaps a attempt by the seller to get more views?

Found another gem today - this one actually looks like a sweet deal. Check it out - it's unusual in its terms of payment. http://nashville.craigslist.org/msg/2473988008.html

Here's a real deal:
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/msg/2487115723.html

This one is still in tune, well, maybe except where the hammer is broken off, we can't be sure about that one.
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/msg/2456237064.html

Better hurry, at only $2000 this one will go fast:

Player Piano - $3,000
http://bellingham.craigslist.org/msg/2452798972.html

"I have a late 1800's early 1900's golden solid oak player piano for sale. I have no rolls of music, they have been lost in a long move. Beautifull piece of furniture and works just fine. My Mom has not room in her retirement home for this piano and I don't either. I would love to see somone enjoy it as much as my mother did. If you know anything about players then I would love to hear from you or, you could just buy it. So, So heavy that it is a three man show to mve it. It is on a ground floor and has wheels thank goodness for that. This piano is one of a kind. When I took the picks I did not polish it up so it is dull in the picks If interested parties only would like to see it I can show it to you at your convienence."

I don't think the pictures help out this ad at all.

Sometimes the less said, the better. You can get more interest that way.

One time I had a hard time selling a car on the local "tradio." I gave all the info, and nobody called. So I starting giving less and less info in hopes that someone would call wanting to know more. Still no luck. Finally, I advertised it as a brand new battery with a car attached. Yep, then I was able to sell it!
